Luwam Kebade

Luwam Kebade is originally from Eritrea, East Africa, and is proud to have called Washington, DC, home for the past 14 years. Luwam is a licensed Early Childhood Development professional who works at a public charter school in DC with families and children. She first was enrolled in the school’s Two-Generation Program when her daughter was a baby and she was learning English. She progressed onto being a volunteer while enrolled in the Child Development Associate program and was then hired as a professional.Luwam values continual education and loves spending time with her daughter doing ballet, swimming, cooking, and having fun with her “best friend.”
