Jade Tinsley is the Program Director of the East of the River Affordable Housing Preservation Department and the Cooperative and Condominium Technical Assistance Program at Housing Counseling Services, Inc. Growing up in the District of Columbia and witnessing the affordable housing crisis first-hand sparked the desire to advocate for DC residents. In her role at Housing Counseling Services Jade is dedicated to ensuring that DC residents are fully educated about their rights and the programs available to them, while providing the ongoing technical assistance necessary to obtain housing stability. Jade has been a member of the Douglass Community Land Trust since 2018 as a member of the Advisory Committee and then founding board member. Jade then held multiple positions on the board until stepping down at the end of 2022 to focus on family.
