Gwendolyn “Gwen” Lowry is a resident at a limited equity housing cooperative located near Colorado Ave & 13th St NW. A native Washingtonian, Gwen loves the ambiance and politics of Washington DC and being part of the nation’s capital. Gwen has a degree in Human Services and has had the opportunity to work one on one with politicians, which she says has been wonderful in knowing what is going on in her community and world. Gwen is passionate about being a vessel to help others in her community and believes her outreach background will be an asset to the Douglass CLT Board of Directors. Recently, Gwen participation in her church’s outreach was given an award from the Park Row Shelter for giving men living in the shelter access to food, clothing and other resources.
